Septic Mound Kit
Create attractive, native habitat and reduce erosion on and around your septic mound with our Septic Mound Kit. Expertly designed with our friends at the University of Minnesota, the Septic Mound Kit includes a collection of beautiful native flowers and grasses that will strive in drier, poorer quality soils (septic mound fill) while providing important ground cover to reduce erosion. Most importantly, these plants have small, fibrous root systems to prevent damage to underground septic system components.
Consider planting in full sunlight in well-drained soils on top of a septic mound.
Kit includes: 36 plants; six plants of six different species. Species included will vary based on current inventory and availability in a variety of bloom times and blossom colors. If you prefer choosing specific species, check out our Design Your Own Garden to select from a variety of native plant options.
