Liatris pycnostachya. Prairie Blazing Star will be great to increase plant diversity in wildflower, pollinator gardens and restoration projects. It’s a showy species that will be sure to attract pollinators like butterflies and hummingbirds. This Blazing Star species grows between 36-48 inches, blooms in the summer with full to partial sun and in wet-mesic soils.

Plant orders placed by end of day Sunday, or earlier, will ship Tuesday. Orders placed Monday, or later, will ship the following week Tuesday. Please include any special shipping date requests with your order.

We are committed to providing the highest quality restoration materials possible. We value the role our plants and seed have in the environment. To that end, we choose not to use Neonics and only use other chemicals only when necessary and/or as indicated by an integrated pest management program. This may result in plant leaves with minor feeding damage and/or the occasional monarch caterpillar found still chomping on your milkweed. Rest assured that these plants will be fine; the birds and butterflies will benefit.
