Located in Albert Lea, across the lake from Myre-Big Island State Park, the head of the Shell Rock river was in need of a change in the flow of the water. The project taking place in the winter of '21 and '22 our team worked some long, cold days in wet conditions to complete the restoration using multiple techniques such as: tree revetments, grading, root wads, straw blanket, rock riffles, and permeable dikes.
