Our 2016 milkweed collection was a wild success! After our cleaning and calculations, in total we received almost 600 pounds of milkweed seeds! At 4,000 seeds/ounce, a grand total of nearly 38 million seeds were collected! We couldn\’t be more grateful to all those who got out there and sustainably harvested pods, our wonderful collection partners, and all those who helped spread the word of our fall collection. Many of the seeds are already being put to work growing on pollinator seeding and planting projects. MNL has great interest in doing whatever we can to improve pollinator habitat across the state and we are thrilled this project is growing into such a success each season! We are ready to start planning the fall 2017 collection soon, so stay tuned for updates!
